Fair-QR is designed with privacy at its core:

  • No Server-Side Processing: All QR code generation happens entirely in your browser. Your data never leaves your device.
  • No User Accounts: We don't require registration or store any personal information.
  • No Tracking: We don't track your behavior or create user profiles.
  • No Cookies: We don't use cookies for tracking or analytics purposes.

3. Local Storage (Browser History)

Fair-QR uses your browser's LocalStorage to save your QR code history (last 10 codes) for your convenience. This data:

  • Is stored only on your device (not on our servers)
  • Is accessible only to you
  • Can be deleted at any time by clearing your browser data or using the "Clear History" button
  • Includes: QR code content, colors, size, error correction level, and timestamp

4. Hosting & Technical Processing

Fair-QR is hosted on Vercel Inc. (USA). When you visit our website, Vercel may process the following technical data for hosting purposes:

  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Referrer URL
  • IP address (anonymized)
  • Date and time of access

This processing is necessary for the technical delivery of the website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) - legitimate interest). Vercel does not merge this data with other data sources.

5. Web Analytics (Vercel Analytics)

We use Vercel Analytics to understand how visitors use Fair-QR and improve our service. Vercel Analytics is privacy-friendly and GDPR-compliant:

  • No cookies: Uses hash-based visitor identification instead of third-party cookies
  • No personal tracking: Does not collect personal identifiers that could track you across websites
  • Anonymous data: All data is anonymized and used only for aggregated statistics
  • 24-hour retention: Visitor sessions are automatically discarded after 24 hours
  • No IP addresses stored: IP addresses are not stored or logged

Data collected:

  • Page views and URL paths
  • Referrer (where you came from)
  • Device type (desktop, mobile, tablet)
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • General geolocation (country/region level only)

This processing is based on our legitimate interest to improve the service (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). No consent banner is required as Vercel Analytics does not use cookies or track personal data.

6. SSL/TLS Encryption

This website uses SSL/TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of all content. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the "https://" prefix in your browser's address bar and the lock icon.

We do not collect or store personal data on our servers. Any data stored in your browser's LocalStorage remains until you clear it manually.
